Kobe or Lebron

Who is better all-around or who would you pick to be on your team first?
Is anyone else even close? Maybe Chris Paul.
Lets get the NBA questions out of the way so we can have more time in March for NCAA basketball.

When I was in high school I named my Golden Retriever Kobe.

They are so good it is hard to tell who is better, but I am going with Lebron. He is all around better and explosive.

A tripple Double with 51 points is boss.

If Boston wasn't so good it could be Kobe vs Lebron in the finals.

I think you have a good chance of seeing Kobe vs. Lebon in the playoffs. The Cavs took Boston to 7 last year, and they definitely upgraded with Mo Williams and could make a move before the deadline to add another starter.

It's no doubt that these two are the best in the game. I am going with Lebron because Kobe has always been surrounded with talent. This is the first year that Lebron has had a sidekick to help put the ball in the basket. We will see if Lebron can find that killer instinct and hit the big shots at the end of the game in the playoffs which Kobe has proven to be great in doing.

If I'm trying to win right now, I take Kobe. He's much better defensively (which is huge late in games) and he is the better 4th quarter player right now. Lebron is getting better every year though and if you ask me this question next year, I may have a different answer.

I'll take Lebron right now. His physicality and athaletic ability to out muscle the teams opposing SF gives him an edge late. My only complaint is i dont like his step back jumper at the buzzer all the time. Dunk that action.

I will take Kobe's performance the other night at MSG, however. In the Knicks program its not going to list who the last person with 50+ and a triple double. Its going to show who scored the most.

Chris Paul, Dwayne Wade, Carmello Anthony, and Dwight Howard are all right there.

I would compare this to a Barry vs. Manny argument.

Barry is arguably the best of all time, but never won a championship (thanks to the Halos).

Manny maybe isn't the player that Barry was, but has that edge when it comes to the most important thing - winning championships.

Personalities and distractions aside, I'd want Manny on my team over Barry.

When it is all said and done after Kobe and LeBron retire, I think I'll be taking Kobe for these very reasons.

i've never heard of the barry vs manny argument. it must be in the same book as the great tony gwynn / bill mazeroski debate.
