Suggested Reading

This is a very interesting piece from a magazine that I...what's the opposite of frequent? Infrequent? We have been on a steroid kick lately and here is a neat little article that points out one man who had the huevos to blow the whistle on the whole thing a decade ago. It must have been a dog whistle though, because nobody reacted. I just wish this would all go away, like my hangover.

Speculation

So, it seems as if the media is not giving A-Roid an inch on his statements he gave during his press conference this week. It has already been reported that the drug he took was not available in the Dominican over-the-counter. Be sure that there are hundreds of reporters out there digging up anything that proves he was lying during that press conference. So, who is to blame? Should have A-Roid been more up front and let everything out? Does the best player in the game really not know what was being put in his body? Should the media just let this story die? Why have no former Red Sox been outed in all the steroid controversy? Please, opine.

Selig

I have defended this guy for as long as i can remember, until today. He has been commissioner in one form or another since 1992. He was "acting commissioner" from 92 to 98. Those owners are morons for letting this half-brain lead the way through the cancellation of the world series in '94. His dumbass was commish throug the steroid era, and did nothing to stop it until congress got involved. He allowed McGwire and Sosa to bring the game back. He then threw Bonds under the bus because of Balco. All of this happened under his watch, and he just applauded and smiled and waived. It started with the Oakland A's of the late 80's, but he never stepped in. Congress had to do so. He is now a hypocrite, for saying that those who have used PED's "have shamed the game." He has shamed the game from day one, and it is time now for him to step aside. He has driven the game to the brink and parked it firmly behind the NFL. He put money in the pockets of the owners' and left thee as a shell of how it once was, how everbody grew up knowing it.

Kobe or Lebron

Who is better all-around or who would you pick to be on your team first?
Is anyone else even close? Maybe Chris Paul.
Lets get the NBA questions out of the way so we can have more time in March for NCAA basketball.

I just wanted to make it perfectly clear. On September the second in 2008, TheRiot predicted the Pittsburgh Steelers winning Super Bowl XLIII. Its my gift and my curse.
