IN GUS WE TRUST!!!!!!!!! Gus is set up to succeed. If you're Gus you love this. TJOKE had to go against Green Bay and Indianapolis. Probably the 3rd and 4th best teams in the NFC. As the schedule softens, GUS takes over. And what does he have to do to be crowned king? Complete a pass here and there. Give us a chance. Don't phuck up. Seems like a pretty nice role to step into.
Gus"For the remainder of the season." WOW! That is drastic from yesterday when Childress was just considering the option of Gus, now he is the guy from here on out. It sounds like the only thing injured on T-Joke is head. I wish the Vikes would have seen this coming (like we all did) and made a move for C.Pennington or Garcia. (Instead of just Favre.)

I agree with it being a lateral move. I was also saying last weekend that the vikes needed a better "Plan B" than Gus. Chili shouldn't have put all his eggs in one basket with TJack and now we are left with Gus. There were plenty of Plan B options out there. Pennington, Chris Sims, Byron Leftwich, and maybe even Garcia. I wouldn't be stoked about any of those guys, but they would have brought a little more excitement with a move than Gus.
Do you guys think this was a move by ownership or did Chili act alone?? I think that Chili was told that if he doesn't make the playoffs, he better find a new job. TJack was Chili's boy, and I have a hard time believing he just gave up on him.
i think it was embarassment, of his own play calling and jackson's complete ineptitude, which comes back to him for putting him on the field in the first place
1. Naps is in charge here. He breaks the rules when it is necessary. Don't reference the rules after things he's posted. If he broke one, it's more than likely because you said something stupid.
2. While racial slurs and shots at people's sexual preference can be funny, use them sparingly. We do like to sound somewhat intelligent here.
3. This is a blog about sports played by other people. No one cares how well you golfed last weekend.
4. Don't start consecutive posts for topics that are closely related. (e.g. Don't write about Livan Hernandez in one post then start a new post five minutes later whining about Mike Lamb.)
5. New posts are for new topics. Don't bring up old issues.

i don't think they said playoffs or take a hike...but i bet ziggy told him to get t-jacks worthless ass off the field. now.
