Twins over Angels in Series Opener

Nick Punto hit a lead off triple in the top of the 12th inning and was later driven in by a Denard Span single to give the Twins a 2-1 lead. Joe Nathan came on in the bottom to shut the door for the Twins. The Twins are now tied for the Wild Card and only a half game behind the Sox.

Booyah Naps!

Real good game all around. It was good to see Guerrier and Crain pitch well. I hope all of our starters can get into the 7th against the Angels..

man, i'm so pissed. i mean, our lead is down to 15 games now. in fact, when i said (before the game) that i kinda wouldn't mind seeing the twins win because they were in a tight race, i don't know what i was thinking. it hurts sooooooo bad losing that game. i just didn't understand the repercussions of that ever important game for the angels. i mean, at least we could have got some decent pitching or something out of it???

haha...your sarcasm is lost on me Naps.

But don't forget, your working for home field advantage in the ALCS if you get that far.

best road record in baseball, homeboy. i'd want home field more so the other team had to be on the road.
