Casilla off DL
Casilla took Bass's spot on the roster today after going 4-7 in a rehad stint in the minors. This should be a big boost for the Twinks, especially offensively, where Nick Punto is looking more and more like his 2007 self. With Casilla in the 2 hole playing 2B and Everett, Harris, Buscher and Punto alternating starts on the left side of the infield, I feel much better about our chances to make a run and do something in the playoffs.

Glad to see Casilla back, but Everett still has to go. He has no arm and no bat. Every throw he makes to first beats the runner by a step, that is if it is reachable by Morneau. Punto hit the ball better this homestand, and I feel like he is much better at short than Everret. Casilla at second, Punto at short, Harris/Buscher platoon at third. Now if Cuddy can get healthy we can sit Gomez on the bench and have what looks to be a playoff ball club.
I still like Harris at short with a righty starter and punto at short with a lefty. Buscher is absolutely brutal against lefties, and I like Harris's bat alot more than Punto's.
I was watching the replay of the Rochester game where Cuddyer broke his foot today. What shitty luck. He gets hit by a batted ball between first and second. Would be nice if he could get back and be Cuddyer of 06-07.
Ya..real shitty luck. 6 weeks for a bone to heal, so that puts him on the team just before the playoffs, and since minor leagues are done by then, there would be no rehab assignment. I wonder the chances of him being able to hit playoff pitching without batting since like june
