All Star Game Bitchfest Thread

A thread completely devoted to bitching about things that went down in last nights game.

Joe Buck and Tim McCarver completely annoy the hell out of you? Bitch on...

Dan Uggla's performance make you sick? Bitch on...

The over-abundance of Yanks and Sawx make you cringe? Bitch on...

The complete ineptitude of nearly all hitters with RISP make you a little frustrated? Bitch on...

John Kruk's pick of Jason Varitek (who had no plate appearances) for MVP make you wanna punch someone in the face with ESPN rage? Bitch on...

Enjoy my friends!

Joe Buck is by far my most hated sports announcer. It all started when he called Moss's moon of the GB fans "a disgusting act." Hey Buck, that was funny, and it shows your bias of Moss. As my baseball knowledge has matured, I realize that Buck makes way too many mistakes and says things that just piss me off in his commentary. Him and Timmy say "the best" "most feared" and "most important" far too much in their annalysis. During the game they called Pujols the best hitter in baseball and then someone else the most feared hitter with runners on base. Wouldn't the best hitter also be the most feared with guys on base? John Buck gave us one of the best calls of all time with Kirk Gibson's home run, and I seriously doubt we will say the same of Joe Buck.

Yeah, wow. Uggla was horrific. Chris King plays a better second base than that.

Chipper knows about this, cuz he was watching the game with me, but I don't know how many times I commented when McCarver or Buck said something absolutely stupid.

Derek Jeter should have been in the 9 hole, not the two spot. Dustin Pedroia, as much as I hate him, has been the best hitter in baseball for the last months, and Joe Mauer, who is the quintisential 2 hitter was down in the 8 spot with a 325 average and 420 on base %. Either would have been a better (and more deserving) choice. Rediculous.

I also loved that Christian Guzman, who has never played third base in the majors, played like 6 innings there yesterday. I was pretty impressed...he made some nice plays.

Kenny Mayne is a massive tool!

hey, reddog, do you spell "ridiculous" with an "e" (as in, REDiculous) just to prove a point that your, REDdog's, comments are the most ridiculous on this site?

Uggla made me ashamed as a fan of the game that he was included in the game as supposedly one of the games best. I would like to see them start to put people in the roster based on defense. Its not all mashing and pitching.

How about when the its close late in the game you put in as many players as possible that will be in October. Edinson Volquez won't see the post-season. If the game matters why is he in in the seventh giving up bombs to JD Drew. Bring in Marmol, at least if he blows it he'll know why he's traveling to an AL park for game one.

As long as we're correcting: John Buck is a mashing catcher for the Royals. Jack Buck is the long-time broadcaster.

I must say, though, the broadcasters didn't impact me that much. Sure, I could have done better, thats Fox broadcasters across all sports. They are there becaude they have smooth voices or are outrageous personalities or are a hundred years old. Sorry to right so much, but bitching is what i do best.
