Big Ticket finally wins something
Ya know, as pissed as I was when the T-Wolves traded away Ticket to the Celtics, I gotta say I'm happy for him. I've been saying for years that Garnett has been the best power forward in the league, but everyone laughs at me and says its Tim Duncan. I'm telling you, if they had traded situations, it would be Garnett with all the championships. I know that Naps is gonna disagree with me on this one--but judging a player's individual talents on TEAM achievements (i.e. winning championships) is wrong. Yes Tim Duncan is a great player, albeit the most boring player in NBA history (Fuck good fundamentals--he's boring), but Kevin Garnett now needs to be ranked right up there with him as he should have been all along. Congrats Ticket.

Give me a reason other than "he's good" to support your notion that the spurs would have won all those championships with ticket over captain boring.
He's better than Duncan. The only aspect of his game that Duncan is better than Garnett is maybe shot blocking / low post defense. Garnett is better everywhere else. Besides, Garnett is a better leader and teammate.
I bet the guys on the Spurs who won those titles with Duncan might disagree...
KG is not better than Duncan in one huge category.."clutchness." When it comes to crunch time, KG is looking to pass.
Killah. At least KG is looking to make plays in late game situations. Maybe he doesn't always take the big shot, but Tim Duncan never even gets to touch the ball in those situations. Manu or Tony Parker have the ball for the Spurs late in games. The last second shot is always put up by one of those two,(unless you want to count Tim Duncan's only 3 pointer of the year in this year's playoffs where Manu passed him the ball...he didn't create his own shot). I'd much rather have the guy who can get a teammate an open look to win the game over the guy who is just takin up space. Besides Killah, you can't expect a 7 footer, Duncan or Garnett, to be taking the last second shot. A gaurd will almost always be doing that.
